Public Relations, otherwise known as PR, is one of the most effective ways to build on the company's marketing strategies and create a solid online reputation. Companies that understand the value of PR invest a tremendous amount of time and energy into staying on top of their PR strategies, and witnessing positive results with better ROI.

As a seasoned PR and communications professional, I can't imagine companies going without this important function.

Public relations is about sending the right messages to the right place and the right people, creating a stronger brand image. Companies often have internal PR roles that work alongside with PR agencies to help the them achieve their goals and promote within certain markets or industries. PR is an area that can transform the future and profitability of a business. Used appropriately, PR can give a company the ability to overcome obstacle by changing the way people think about a business, increases brand credibility, enhance online presence, and increase profits, sales and leads. These are some of the key benefits that make PR so essential.
Brand Positioning - Keeping Stories Fresh and Interesting
Brand positioning is the process of positioning a specific brand in the mind of the company's intended customers, including investors. Brand positioning is also referred to as a positioning strategy, brand strategy, or a brand positioning statement.

Companies need to be proactive in developing a position and it can only be effective if the management recognizes the value and takes an intelligent, forward-looking approach, the strategy can positively influence its brand positioning in the eyes of its target audience.

Being interesting is equally important as being fresh. The same story told over and over will simply fall on deaf ears. It’s one of biggest struggles for content writers and marketers: how to have a “fresh take” on a commonly covered topic. And the key is to try looking at the subject matter in a completely different perspective. New angles are absolutely exciting when they are discovered and can be quite magical ~ it's like breathing a new life into content. When the subject matter hones on something people have not thought or heard about, it brings old stories alive and infuses new content with relevance. But, angles aren’t easy to find and may require extensive research, discussions and thorough exploration.
