Selected Works
We are living in this amazing world full of sights and wonder. How each one of us perceives this world is deeply unique and personal. Likewise, and as an artist and designer, I take great joy in the process of making observations and reinterpret what I perceive, visually.
Projects
I have worked for various high-tech B2B companies over the years and have taken much joy in applying my creativity to my work. My responsibilities entail the creation of various types of multimedia content and promotional material. I was able to put my knowledge and skills to good use in the development of graphics, banners, collateral, presentations, videos, newsletters, blogs, as well as invitations and tradeshow booth concepts.
Photography
I delight in capturing those fleeting, memorable moments. What I am able to witness around me inspires my own creativity.
Younger Days
What I love about art is that it's a form of visual expression and a method to transform something that's seemingly banal and pedestrian into something that could inspire or evokes certain emotional responses or actions.
During my early days, I played with a wide range of mediums. Many sketches and paintings were done with color inks, pencil, oil paint, acrylic paint, as well a wide range of mixed media including gesso, fabric, aluminum foil, etc.
I experimented with a printing technique called Intaglio (courtesy of the Getty iris blog). What makes Intaglio so fascinating to me is the element of anticipation and surprise throughout the process. Printmaking stimulates my creativity in trying to imagine what the final image may look like when it's transferred to a piece of paper. And unlike drawing or painting directly onto a piece of paper, the final print is a mirror image of the drawings from the metal plate. The process can't be rushed as intricate lines are etched onto a metal plate with a resist.
